Kulungi Riverside lodge Golf Safaris .Golf
enthusiasts can unwind on one of the picturesque courses within easy
driving distance from Kulungi, and a must would be to enjoy a round at
the renowned Hans Merensky Golf Course where it is common to see
elephant, giraffe, warthogs, baboons and a variety of antelope
crossing the rolling fairways.
Greet
the African dawn on the manicured fairways of the challenging 18 Hole,
Par 72 Championship golf course, where crocodile and hippo add spice
to the normal "hazards" of a good game of golf. Wild game
including elephant, lion, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope and
bird life are often seen on the golf course and in the surrounds. The
legendary Bob Grimsdell designed this unique course, which extends
over a vast area of indigenous bush, interspersed with tranquil pools
and velvet greens.
The course is truly a revelation. It has hosted many high-profile professional and amateur tournaments, a measure of its widely acknowledged quality. There is not a single weak hole, but from the forward tees, the novice player is sure to thoroughly enjoy the round. It is difficult to single out specific holes on so fine a layout, but the four par fives are all excellent, particularly the 16th, where a pulled or hooked drive could well land in the Park. The par three 8th and 17th holes, both over water to well-bunkered greens, are also exceptional. TOURISM GRADING COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA |
